Position Overview:
• Serves as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals in order to promote long-term recovery
• Work with individuals on how to verbalize triggers and warning signs and be willing to openly review these in acceptable settings.
• Assist with development of safety plan and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and tool box
• Provide support during crisis event by working with crisis intervention specialist to verbally coach individuals on management of stress and current problem
• Provide follow up care to individuals previously experiencing crisis event to ensure linkage to appropriate services and to review crisis safety plan
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Personal experience related to Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorders.
• CRSS certification and WRAP certification in 2 years from hire.
